Terms of use

These terms are the rules for using JaraCity, a social life-sim. They are between you and Flywox Ltd and its global affiliate Flywox Inc (together, “we”). By creating an account, signing in, or playing, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.

Eligibility

JaraCity is for adults aged 18 and over. You confirm that you are 18 or older when you sign up. If you are not, do not create an account. We may close an account that does not meet this rule.

The service

JaraCity is a game you play in the browser: a character, a city, work, a home, friends, and nights out with your crew. It may be in early access. Features can change, pause, or be removed.

Your account

You can sign up with a name and password, or with a social sign-in. If you use a social sign-in, you also agree to that provider’s own terms for the sign-in. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person, one account. Do not share it, sell it, or pretend to be someone else.

Usernames must not impersonate a real person or brand, and must not be abusive. We can refuse or reclaim a name that breaks that.

Acceptable use

Do not use JaraCity to:

• break the law, or harass, threaten, or scam another player
• ask anyone for real money, gifts, or personal payment inside the game
• cheat, attack the service, or use bots to play
• upload anything illegal, or anything sexual involving anyone under 18

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Your content and ours

You keep what you write in the game, such as messages and a username. You give us permission to store and show it so the game can work, for as long as the account exists. The game itself, including the name JaraCity, the art, and the software, belongs to us. You may play it. You may not copy it or resell it.

Virtual currency

Coins and any other in-game currency are virtual. They have no real-world value. You cannot withdraw them, sell them, or exchange them for money. We may adjust balances to correct an error, a bug, or abuse. Paying real money never creates a right to cash that currency out.

Payments

We are the seller for every payment on JaraCity. You pay us, and we provide what you paid for. We do not collect money for another person or business to deliver it. A payment partner only moves the money.

Some things are paid for with real money. The price, currency and what you are buying are shown before you pay:

• in-world advertising, such as billboards and sponsored placements
• a username change, or a premium username, after any free change has been used
• cosmetic packs, where we offer them
• in-game currency added to your account, where we offer it. It is still virtual and cannot be withdrawn

The ways to pay depend on the payment partner and where you are. They can include card, bank transfer and mobile money. Our payment partners collect those payment details. We do not store your full card number. A receipt goes to the verified email on the account.

An advertising placement is time in the game. It is not a promise of a particular number of views, taps or sales. You are responsible for the creative you send us. We may reject it, or take it down, where we need to.

Refunds

If a payment fails or is abandoned before we deliver, nothing is charged, or the charge is refunded. If we take payment and then cannot deliver what you bought, including an advertising placement we reject or never run, we refund the amount for what did not run.

Once a username, a cosmetic pack, in-game currency, or a period of advertising has been delivered, that purchase is final, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. Spending the currency, changing your mind, or losing it in play is not a reason for a refund. If a payment succeeds and what you bought is not added, we add it or refund the payment.

Refunds go back through the same payment partner, to the original payment method. Email support@jaracity.com and include the receipt.

Chargebacks

A chargeback is not a refund. Do not ask your bank or payment partner to reverse a payment for something we have already delivered. If a chargeback, reversal or dispute means we are not paid for a delivered purchase, we may remove what was delivered, restrict the account, or close it, and we may refuse further payments from that account.

Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. How to do that is in the privacy policy. We can also close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to shut the service down. Virtual currency is not refunded, because it has no cash value.

Availability

The game and this website are provided as available. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost in-game currency, lost access, or other loss arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If you keep using JaraCity after an update, the new terms apply.
